French M1866 Chassepot Sword Bayonet. Bright, slightly curved blade with fuller. Maker marked on spine near ricasso. Ricasso proof marked on reverse. Steel, single quillion crossguard stamped "82430" and proof marked. Solid brass handle. Mortise proof marked. Black painted steel scabbard stamped with "25619" and proof mark. Blade Length: 21 1/4" | Total Length: 24 1/2"
