French Model 1866 Chassepot Sword Bayonet. Bright, slightly curved blade with fuller. Maker marked on the spine "Mre Impale de St Etienne Oct. 1867". Proof marks on the ricasso. Serial numbered steel crossguard with various proof marks on the quillion. Solid brass handle and serial numbered steel scabbard. Blade Length: 22 5/8" | Total Length: 27 5/8"
Condition Report: Very good. Blade has minimal dark spots.
