French mid-century modern lacquered sideboard, c.1960s, likely rosewood or macassar ebony veneers with inlaid banding, rectangular top over two sets of dual cabinet doors, one side opening to shelved interior, the other side with shelf over two stacked drawers, single glass shelf, rising on gilt metal-mounted tapered square legs, approx 37.5"h, 90.75"w, 18 7/8"d
Condition Report: 04.05.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1077: I note that the sideboard is presently intact and structurally sturdy, there is lacquer loss and lifting concentrated along edges, particularly the corners, some being reinforced/ laid flat with adhesive, including one to the center right of the top panel extending vertically, there is light tonal variation of the lacquer along edges, the doors and interior drawers operate smoothly, and the glass shelf has a few minor chips to edges, the right hand side panel appears to have small white paint splatters that could likely be resolved with a blade, and there is visible glue at the top of back left hand leg at point of joinery to bottom panel, and I observe minor surface wear such as light abrasions and nicks commensurate with useDetailed condition reports are not included in this catalog.
