FRENCH NAPOLEON III DORE BRONZE & MARBLE INKWELL
French Napoleon III dore bronze inkwell on a marble base, circa 1870, the inkwell having a patinated bee finial above a dore bronze domed acanthus hinged lid, the body having a laurel wreath band with ram's head handles and an acorn pendant, the whole rising on ram's legs ending in cloven hoofs, surmounting a carved rouge marble dished base, apparently unmarked.
Approximate dimensions: h. 7.20", dia. 8".
Condition Report: Minor wear to gilt, (2) fleabites to rim of marble base.
