French Napoleonic War, Imperial Light cavalry Officer's Sword Model An IV. Bright fullered curved blade with Imperial and Oriental designed dry-point etched on both sides. Brass hilt with leather covered grip with twisted wire. Double brass ring and mouthpiece steel scabbard. Most likely carried by an Officer veteran of the French Napoleonic Campaign of Egypt & Syria (1 July 1798 – 2 September 1801). Blade Length: 33" Total Length: 38.1/4"
