FRENCH PORCELAIN TETE A TETE SET. Comprising a seven-piece French porcelain tete-a-tete service, the shaped tray with faux gilt bamboo rim and handles, the interior with four oval reserves, each with hand painted scenes including dogs and cat fighting, a cat and kittens playing, hunting implements, and harvesting implements and centered with an ornate gilt monogram. The teapot also with bamboo style handles and feet, and painted with a wolf and sheep on one side and a stork and wolf on the other side. The creamer similarly modeled and painted with a rabbit and frogs and a milkmaid with spilled jar. The cups (which are likely later replacements) marked A. Lanternier & C: Limoges. Length of tray 17 inches (43 cm).
