FRENCH VICTORIAN RICHELIEU BED LINEN - Linen - Early 20th century

This superb bed sheet we obtained through our close neighbour's trousseaux and going back to her grandmother . There were chests and armoires full of thé most beautiful bed linen and never used since. This Richelieu bed sheet is exceptionally wide for the early 1900s at 2m40. Before photographing we put some black felt under the cut outs to get a better impression. The sides run down by 90cm. ( see 4th photo) In between the cut outs are tender branches with leaves and buds. The initials are simply but sympathetically added. A beautiful piece of bedlinen;
