FRIEDKIN WILLIAM: (1935-2023) American film director, Academy Award winner. A good signed and inscribed 10 x 8 photograph of Friedkin standing in a half-length pose and with one arm outstretched as he offers directorial advice to the young actress Linda Blair, in costume as Regan MacNeil, during the filming of the American supernatural horror movie The Exorcist (1973). Signed by Friedkin in black fountain pen ink across a lighter area at the head of the image. It was for his direction of The Exorcist that Friedkin was nominated for a Best Director Oscar. VG
Provenance: The present photograph originates from the collection of Pierre Goulliard, a French gentleman who, for over 50 years, dedicated himself to obtaining in person autographs of British, American and European movie stars, always obtaining the signatures in fountain pen ink.
