Te Amsterdam, bij Johannes Allart, 1805-1806. 2 Vols.: [2],VIII,483,[1] and [6],517 pp. With 18 Roman numb. fold. engravings (dep. num. ills.). 8vo (ca. 22 x 13 cm.), early 19th-cent. limp boards, uncut.

¶ Claes/ Bakema 3814. Complete set of a rare early 19th-cent. Dutch fruit dictionary concerning i.a. the cultivation of fruit, trees & vines by the Dutch theologian Jacob Frederik Serrurier (1771-1844) based on the works by the German naturalist Johann Ludwig Christ (1739-1813) & the Scottish horticulturist William Forsyth (1737-1804). – A few minor imperfections (spines strengthened with paper, covers partly rubbed/ worn, a few engravings sl. frayed/ torn in outer blank margin, 1 engraving (no. XII) bound in a wrong order, vol. I occ. sl. waterstained in outer (blank) margin), but nevertheless in good condition.
