Notes/Literature: Marinetti, a poet and art theorist, is credited with the founding of the Futurist movement; Rachilde (1860-1953) was the author of the erotic novels Monsieur Venus (1884) and La Marquise de Sade (1887), and a 1928 monograph on gender identity, "Why I am not a Feminist".
