Fans and accessories, late 19th century to early 20th century: Four fans, the first with cream silk satin leaf, a central cartouche depicting a pastoral scene, side vignettes with birds and floral garlands, mounted on white mother of pearl, silvered, designed with flower baskets and flowers, and fitted with an elaborate tassel of silver thread, contained in a fan box labelled for L.T. Piver perfumery; a second fan with lightly incised bone monture, the leaf of Brussels bobbin appliqué laid over cream silk satin, guard approx. 30cm; a third fan of white mother of pearl, the leaf formed from two bands of Honiton bobbin lace, with bone ribs, contained in a Harvey Nichols & Co box; a bone fan with a light incised design, the leaf of cream silk satin painted with a spray of daisies and wheat, guard approx. 35 cm; lace fragments comprising approx. 2 metres of Valenciennes edging, a metre of Honiton joined near the centre, and approximately 2 metres of Limerick (9 + 2 boxes) (Shipping category D)

The first fan has three broken gorge sticks, the lower guard being broken near the head. The tassel is tarnished. The leaf is lifting a little from the upper guard. The Honiton fan needs a little attention, with the leaf lifting from the upper guard and one gorge stick adrift but sound, note the glue attaching the leaf showing on the lower guard. The third fan is in good general condition with a repair near the head on the upper guard. The parasols are sound but grubby.
