A fantastic Egyptian banded alabaster bowl, Middle Kingdom, c. 2061 - 1690 BC, with lightly flattened bottomed with rounded rim and two horizontally oriented lug handles. W: 8 3/5 in (21.8cm). Well preserved with light deposits. Label on base reading 'Egypt-Mid. Kingdom, Provenance: The Stafford Coll., Published in Boston'. Ex Christopher Terry estate, Cumbria, UK, acquired in the 1970's-80's; Ex Frederick M. Stafford collection.
