I bring you an exceptional find for auction. It comes from a private collection never used. Collector's piece. Unique model due to its condition and limited edition.
Table lamp from the renowned Fase brand, Presidente model, Raíz edition (or commonly called, “tortoiseshell” or “animal print”) . Designed by Industrias Fase (Luís Pérez De La Oliva and Pedro García Martín) .
It is an exceptional piece due to its excellent state of conservation with all its original components: paint, wood, wiring, chrome. . . It even retains the original label. The lamp has no dents or scratches, it retains its original shine. . . The original glass diffuser glass is in perfect condition: no "hairs", scratches and retains transparency. After more than 50 years, it is very difficult to see a Fase lamp in this condition.
The base and screen are made of steel painted in “tortoiseshell”, “animal print” or “root”. This color was manufactured in smaller numbers than other colors. The arm is made of solid oak wood and chrome-plated gold.
The Fase Presidente is an icon of Spanish industrial design from the 60s and 70s, possibly the best known of all the Fase designs. And this is due, in addition to its indisputable aesthetic beauty, to the fact that it has been used on countless occasions by art directors from the world of cinema, as 'props' for numerous Spanish and international films set in the 60s and 70s: Mad Men, Indiana Jones, etc…
