Federal Inlaid Mahogany Sideboard
Attributed to Thomas Seymour, Boston, MA, circa 1810
The rectangular top with reeded edge above three drawers separated by carved oval panels above central contrasting banded tambour doors and cupboard doors separated by reeded panels, all continuing to bracketed circular bosses centering a pendant housing the tambour door lock, above ring-turned reeded tapering legs. Height 39 5/8 inches, width 60 3/4 inches, depth 23 3/4 inches.
Note: Bears a small Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, label on the upper backboard with number 89.21.
