Federal mahogany tambour desk in two parts, upper section with three drawers over central door flanked by two tambour doors opening to reveal small drawers and pigeon holes set on lower section with flip lid writing surface over three drawers all set on square double tapered legs, the whole with tiger and birdseye maple, rosewood and line inlay, circa 1790. height 51 3/4 inches, width 38 inches.
