Biography: Brissot de Warville is known for his paintings and drawings of rustic scenes with sheep and cattle. He was the Director of the Muse du Chateau de Compigne and a prolific artist. His paintings are found in many museum collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and museums in Chartres, Amiens, Mulhouse, Reims, Rouen, Saint tienne, Sens, Strasbourg and Troyes. The most extensive collection of his work is in the museum in Compigne.
