From 1839 to 1843 he participated in art exhibitions at the Prussian Academy of Arts in Berlin. From 1846 to 1859, he exhibited his works at the Parisian salons. Marohn initially lived in Germany, but moved to France around 1846. He visited Italy, where he produced his depictions of Italian folklore. In Warsaw, he painted a portrait of a noblewoman. His works can be found in the collections of the museums in Reims and Ajaccio, among others.
