Ferrari - 400 i - Automatique - 1983

[ translate ]

A very lovely European Ferrari 400 i V12 (4. 8L) from 1983 with automatic gearbox. Sold new by Charles Pozzi S. A. in Levallois, France. This vehicle is certainly a good investment as its price remains affordable and will only improve in the years to come. As the 'i' indicates, this is an engine with K-jetronic injection. In 1983, the date of the vehicle being offered, Ferrari decided to improve the intake to 315hp. In addition, the 400i was equipped with a hydro-pneumatic self-levelling suspension, a more modern dashboard, a front grille with integrated fog lamps and a reworked rear bumper. This vehicle has Belgian registration documents and a certificate of conformity issued by the Belgian "Service Public Fédéral Mobilité et Transports". This vehicle works perfectly! The braking is progressive and efficient, the engine reacts very well to acceleration and the gearbox shifts smoothly. The vehicle is very smooth thanks to its hydro-pneumatic self-levelling suspension. Only 1306 were produced and very few for Europe, making it a sought-after vehicle. The leather seats have been thoroughly cleaned by a professional and there are still some signs of wear. The paintwork is flawless, without a single scratch. There is unfortunately a slight problem with the alignment of the bumper on the left-hand side. This is a very well maintained vehicle with lots of work done by the previous owner since 1996: * Replacement of the 12 injectors. * Fully overhauled K-Jetronic heads. * Complete overhaul of the automatic gearbox. * Overhauled alternators. * No belts to be replaced as they are chains (a huge advantage) ! * Reservoir cleaned. * All fluids replaced. * as well as many other things. . . This legendary vehicle deserves to continue its life in the hands of a collector. It can be viewed in Enghien, Belgium. It is recommended to view the vehicle prior to bidding in order to avoid any disappointment. Please contact Catawiki to arrange an appointment.
