Fetish Ada Adja Adan - Wood - Aklama - Ewe - Ghana - 22 cm
Adan Voodoo Altar Fetish Ghana 22 cm without the stand. This fetish is a ritual object of the voodoo cult, used by the Ewe, who speak the Adangbe/Ada language from Ghana, and who live near the Togolese border. These Ade sculptures embody the diverse deities associated to hunting, also common to the Yoruba and to the Ewe. Regarding their use, these objects are found on specific altars, but we have already seen pictures illustrating those, grouped in a basket and dressed with a piece of cloth, like the Vinavi of the Ewe. Adapted from the work of Dr. Volker Schneider, Zeutern, Germany.
