Fiat - 500 L "NO RESERVE" - 1972

[ translate ]

This 1972 Fiat 500 Lusso model was the property of a single owner who, due to age constraints, left it idle for several years. It was only last year that the son, after a long wait, managed to convince his father (the owner of the 500) to sell it. The car has therefore recently undergone a bodywork restoration, with the replacement of many parts of the sheet metal that had become impossible to repair, a complete overhaul of the interior and an overhaul of the entire mechanical and electrical system. Regarding the paintwork, it was decided to use the original colour of the car, "Giallo Positano". Perhaps the most emblematic colour of the model and of the time. The upholstery has been completely replaced by a new burgundy upholstery, which matches particularly well with the Giallo Positano colour of the bodywork. The seat covers have also been replaced with new ones, together with the dashboard, carpeting and rubber mats, accurately reproduced as the originals of the time. All door, windscreen and rear window seals have been replaced with the typical chrome profile. The window and deflector frames, including the water flushing channels have been replaced. All chrome parts are complete, including front and rear bumpers complete with the distinctive "Lusso" rostrum, as well as under-door rods, headlights, headlight rims, turn signals, tail lights, license plate lights, exterior mirror. As for the wiring of the electrical system, it was decided to recover and revise the original, because, although it was well over fifty years old, the material was still in excellent condition and of a higher quality than the modern parts reproduced, just like the door opening handles and the bonnet opening handle. The engine, braking system and transmission have been disassembled and overhauled. The car is also equipped with an option of the time: steering lock with key. An audio/video recording of the engine is available, please contact Catawiki to view it. This Lusso model 500 was sold new in Messina, Sicily, Italy, in 1972, and is still here for inspection/refurbishment. We can arrange transport throughout Italy or abroad by arrangement with the buyer. The costs of transport and transfer of ownership in case of sale in Italy, or de-registration in case of sale outside Italy, are at the buyer's expense.
