Fiat - 500 R - 1973

Fiat 500 R with Italian number plate MS 85178. Frame number: 5135171 Car with several owners, not 100% original, with a few modifications that I’m going to illustrate later. Well maintained by the various owners and then purchased by me. Works and various modifications performed afterwards. The provenance of the original purchase receipt is handwritten and dated 31st August 1973. The register with history and service stamps and the warranty booklet (intact and well kept, with light signs of age) from the original owner are also present. Driveability: the car is serviced and inspected. It can be regularly driven on the road. It starts very well, works and brakes very well, has a great pickup. Captivating and sporty noise. Excellent braking, low suspension for sporty driving and excellent stability on the road. 12” alloy rims with four-season tyres at 80%, i. e. almost new. Bodywork and vehicle painting: as seen in the photos, the vehicle is in excellent general conditions both inside and outside. Solid bodywork and paint in good condition. Underbody protected with pitch-colored anti-rust, visible in photos. The second rear-view mirror has been added. Approved seatbelts visible in photos. The engine compartment is neat and clean. The engine has been modified following Abarth type with a dual carburettor, increased oil sump, pistons and petrol flow. The fuel is pumped from the tank to the carburettor to have an optimal performance of the latter. Sporty muffler installed, visible in the photos. The odometer reads more than 4700 km but it is not exact due to the engine overhaul and modification. Therefore the real mileage of the engine is about 2000 km. Captivating and sporty engine noise. Front compartment in excellent condition with tank showing some signs of wear, petrol pump and Varta battery. No spare wheel. Rear stop lights were added for a greater visibility when braking and to help other vehicles detect it on the road. Unfortunately a letter on the rear number plate has partially faded (visible in the photos) . Great interior. Original 1970s seat fabric. Steering wheel and gear knob were replaced with wooden ones, so they are not original. Original sunroof, mats, headlining, dashboard and door panels are all in good condition. New internal door handles and aluminium window regulators. Light sign above the left headlight, visible in the photo. The vehicle must be picked up in Veneto, more precisely in the province of Vicenza. The change of ownership is charged to the buyer. This vehicle can be viewed and picked up on site. Please keep in mind that the car is 46 years old and obviously used: it is not a new car and has no warranty. It is in good condition and comes with original documents.
