Gilt bronze depicting Garuda, a deity in the form of a mythical bird, subduing another being, on a lotus base. He wears a crown with small heads and various jewels. The hair is raised and has a flaming appearance. There is patina and traces of polychromy, lacquer and gilding, partially worn away. On the base there is an engraved seal or mark in the form of a double crossed "vajra", a symbol of Buddhism.
