Extraordinary Louis XVI mantel clock “Le char de Cérès”, in gilt and patinated bronze of very refined craftsmanship. Ceres, goddess of agriculture, driving a chariot and showing a plow pulled by a pair of patinated oxen, France, late 18th century.
dimensions: H 42 x L44. 5 x w 14 cm.
The timepiece is signed by Caillouet a Paris (1733-1810) .
