A marvellous Liberty sculpture (Italian Art Nouveau) representing a cherub, resting on a base decorated with acanthus leaves scrolls. A masterpiece signed by Mario Buccellati, the greatest Italian silversmith and jeweller, loved by Italian aristocracy and high society and renowned all over the world for his nature-inspired masterpieces Hallmarks on the lower edge: Mario Buccellati, 800, manufacturer’s logo (probably made by Arno Fassi, a silversmith who got commissioned many works by the Buccellati Maison) , the last stamp is illegible.
