Fiji: , Coca-Cola Sample Coin Prototype ND UNC, ...

[ translate ]

Coca-Cola Sample Coin Prototype ND UNC, KM-Unl. In a stroke of imaginative fusion, this coin prototype emerges, disguised as a beloved Coca-Cola bottle cap. Seamlessly blending the nostalgia of soda pop-culture with the practicality of currency, this inventive creation invokes a sense of familiarity while introducing a novel twist to the world of numismatics. The top is adorned with the unmistakable red and white Spenserian-script insignia of Coca-Cola with a rim-wave, enhanced with a texture that was more than likely created with the enamel coating. This becomes highly juxtaposed by the silver-mirror finish on the bottom/reverse, found with slight wisps upon this surface. As this was a prototype, this issue did not make it into production from Fiji as such, but pivoted into a silver, un-colorized version in 2018 (50mm). The colorized version was not minted until 2020 (32mm, Crown Mint), released as apart of a 4-coin "Vending Machine" set featuring other famous soda caps. Modern collectors and Coca-Cola enthusiasts alike will marvel at this unconventional offering, recognizing the undoubtable rarity that a sample prototype piece holds.
