Fine Achaemenid Bronze Bowl
Ancient Near East, Achaemenid Persian Empire, ca. 500 to 330 BCE. A lovely bronze bowl of hemispherical form, presenting a round yet stable base and thick walls that rise to a gently inward curving, annular rim above a deep basin. Note how the lustrous, gold-hued surface is nicely mottled with green and grey patina, creating a textured surface, and imbuing it with an elegant presentation reminiscent of the ancient world. Size: 7.3" Diameter x 3.5" H (18.5 cm x 8.9 cm)
