Fine Egyptian Faience Amulet of Bastet
Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. An excellent mold-formed faience amulet of a striding Egyptian god or goddess, possibly Bastet, wearing a skirt with its left leg forward and topped with a looped suspension hole. Glazed in a lovely hue of seafoam green and accented with cream-colored earthen deposits creating a diversified surface, this ancient relic is a fantastic example from ancient Egypt! Size: 0.5625" L x 0.375" W x 1.4375" H (1.4 cm x 1 cm x 3.7 cm)

Condition Report: Chipped loop hole, but still wearable. Minor pitting, fading to detail, and recessed areas throughout, commensurate with age. Very nice with earthen deposits in recessed areas.
