This design manages, through its curved silhouette, to recall the shapes of nature. The use of simple lines and a strong sense of proportion make it a perfect example of mid-century modern. The only decoration is found in the buttoning, thanks to which the shape of the wings of the backrest is emphasized, which has been carefully reupholstered in sheepskin.

Erik Bertil Karlén was a Swedish architect who was very active during the 1940s. Like many of his contemporaries, he dedicated much of his work to furniture design, where his seats stand out, above all.
