First Edition (?) Beecher Stowe & Beecher (1869)
Believed to be first edition of the 1869 book "The American Woman's Home or Domestic Science" by Catherine Esther Beecher and her younger sister Harriet Beecher Stowe (the author of "Uncle Tom's Cabin"). Published by J.B. Ford & Co. and dated 1869. This book appears to be similar to books held at the Library of Congress and Smithsonian. There is wear on the cover and at the top and bottom of the spine. Pages appear undamaged. The pages are all together, with slight separation from the spine. Inside the book, perhaps used as a bookmark, was a page from Beadle's Dime Novels No 35 (we believe dated 1862) entitled "East and West or the Beauty of Willard's Mill" by Frances Fuller Barritt.
