This beautiful fossil of Apatoopholis Laniatus belonging to the family of Ichthyotringidae, order: Aulopiformes. It is a medium-sized fish, has a slender body and an elongated head that is disproportionately large compared to the size of the body, more than a third of the entire length. The upper and lower jaws equipped with small teeth and elongated to form a rostrum presumably used to strike prey from the side.
