Five various blue and white plates
18th century, Kangxi and Yongzheng period, China
The largest plate with two female figures in a garden is marked with a six character Kangxi mark on the back, and of the period. A similarly marked plate is decorated with scattered florals (the porcelain of a slightly creamy colour). The third plate with trailing flowering peonies is marked with a lingzhi mark. A fourth plate, decorated with a central rock and flower motif, is marked with a conch shell. The fifth plate shows two men playing 'Go', this plate has a brown glaze trim and is unmarked.
