Nativity with Saint Anne. Flemish school. Period: late 16th-early 17th century. Style: Nordic Mannerism. Restored. framed in beautiful mid XX century artisanal gilded wooden frame. The painting is inspired by Italian late Renaissance paintings of the sixteenth century, but is executed by a Nordic painter. The cradle of the child, richly carved in grotesques and the composition in general, has a strong resemblance to a Renaissance painting, "Madonna della Gatta". Known through engravings, he inspired the artist of the present small and precious painting on copper. Very beautiful combinations of greens and purplish purples of the Sant’Anna mantle on the left.
