[ translate ]

Flintlock 8 bore single barrel shotgun, 37inch Damascus Spanish form barrel with platinum touch hole, the lock with semi-waterproof pan, probably converted back from percussion, chequered stock with scroll and pineapple finial trigger guard. Section 58 (2) Antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out. Dimensions: 134cm longCondition Report The gun is in reasonable condition having been refinished on the metalwork but the stock with a nice original patina. The bore has pitting throughout, this is probably too deep to lap out despite the walls looking reasonably thick at the muzzle. The barrel has been re-browned. The action cocks and releases with a strong spring. The lock has been reblued, there is a fair amount of pitting to the hammer, which is probably a replacement. The pan and frizzen are replacements and confirm our suspicion the gun has been converted back from percussion. The stock is free from splits or cracks, there are some small dents and scratches. There are two repaired areas surrounding the lock plate, one behind the hammer and one just ahead of the frizzen. Please register to request a condition report
