The Florence Knoll collection is a translation of the rhythm and proportions of modern architecture from the mid 20th century. With a geometric and free profile, an expression of the rational approach to design that Florence Knoll learned from her mentor, Mies van der Rohe, the armchair is absolutely modern and absolutely timeless. Dimensions: 81 x 81 cm h. 77 This piece is impeccable, it presents only a couple of small tiny traces, due to the support of other furniture items while it was in the store (see last two photos) . It was purchased in the early 70s for the offices of the Chase Manhattan bank of New York. It was David Rockefeller himself who decided that all the Bank's furniture was to be supplied by Knoll International. Throughout his long life, David Rockefeller was number one at Chase Manhattan Bank, the institution that later gave birth to JPMorgan Chase.
