This large and dense mineral exhibits interesting crystal form and coloration in natural light. Large patches of dark metallic Franklinite catch the viewer's eye as it contrasts nicely with areas of light green Willemite and lustrous sections of off-white Calcite. However, once illuminated under Shortwave ultraviolet light, this piece lights up with vibrant patches of intertwined green Willemite with pockets of substantial bright orange Calcite crystals. Time-honored examples such as this are hard to procure, making this prototypical offering much more special.
