Fluorite, Sphalerite Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee, USA 11.6 x 9.5 x 3.8 cm (4.57 x 3.74 x 1.50 in) This thinner group of Fluorite is composed of four well-formed cubes, the largest reaching 5.6 centimeters, with a minor Sphalerite cluster jutting from the underside. The Fluorite crystals have a colorless, translucent center that is outlined by thin, deep purple zones. Along with minor stepped growths and textured surfaces, scattered around the specimen are three glassy, smooth Carthage Corners, which are signature to Elmwood Fluorites.
