Fluorite Xia Yang Mine, Xia Yang city, Yongchun Co., Quanzhou, Fujian, China 7.2 x 5.1 x 4.5 cm (7.2 x 5.1 x 4.5 in) Spread across a dark grey, microcrystalline-coated matrix are groups of sharply formed rhombidodecahedral Fluorites. Each crystal has a high transparency and a beautiful violet-purple hue that is most intense when viewed with backlighting.
