Fluorite on Calcite Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee, USA 11.4 x 11.0 x 8.6 cm (4.49 x 4.33 x 3.39 in) Presented atop a single, rotund Calcite crystal is a minor cluster of transparent, purple Fluorite cubes (reaching up to 4.0 centimeters). The Fluorite is skirted by a thin plate of lustrous, white Quartz druze and Dolomite. From the display view, the Fluorite has nice purple zoning; from the rear view, the Fluorite has been etched and recrystallized, covering the underside in fine stepped-growths..
