The sign is painted on 'paint by numbers' board issued in 1932 to commemorate George Washington Bicentennial. Apparently, the oil painted sign was covered by the dark brown patina which then was scratched off to provide an 'antique' look. Such techniques were often implemented in the folk art. The salvage barn wood frame was hand made in the 1970s. This nearly one hundred years old sign was framed by the former owner. The sign was examined by the expert at the historical association and found to be an authentic 1932 item.

Condition Report: The sign is 11" x 15.3/4" [28cm x 39.5cm]; the frame is 18" x 22" [46cm x 56.5cm]; the veneer covering on the back of the board is partly lost; some signs of wood aging, good/ very good condition.
