Condition Report:
The canvases are lined. the paint surface is clean and varnish layer is clear in both paintings. The canvases present well and the still life elements in both works appear well preserved. Some of the darker tones seem to have sunken and lost some definition with age, notably in the background. A vertical area of discoloured retouching is visible in the still life with flowers and fruit, measuring approximately 6cm, 3cm from the middle of the right margin. Inspection under ultraviolet light confirms the above and reveals an old layer of fluorescing varnish and a few scattered areas of retouching in the background. Both canvases are in overall good condition.
