Framed 71 x 131cm The painting is executed in oil on a canvas support which has been lined. The picture is in plane and the canvas tension is good. Lining has stabilised a flaking paint layer. Small old losses at the junctions of the cracks have been overpainted but not filled, so still evident in the surface texture. The paint layer is currently stable overall. There is extensive overpaint across the painting, especially in the sky. The varnish is clear, glossy and even.
