Framed 51 x 61.5cm The painting is executed in oil on a canvas support which has been lined. The canvas tension is stiff and the picture is in plane. The paint layers have a network of prominent age cracks with a dark appearance but are stable and secure. There are areas of overpaint covering cracks and areas of wear, the overpaint is fairly well matched to the original. The varnish is even, clear and glossy.
