Foot cup with double overlay Bohemia, Joachimsthal, Carl Stoelzle after 1835 Colourless glass with pewter enamel and violet agatinopal overlay. Faceted foot with ground ball. Nodus with turban cut. Bell-shaped, multiply peeled wall. High-cut round medallions ornamentally cut. Frontally crowned coat of arms with prancing horse, monogram ''TO'' on the reverse. Contrasting lip margin. H. 14 cm After the death of Josef Zich in 1834, the Joachimsthal glassworks was taken over by Carl Stoelzle in 1835. On 11 March 1835, a contract was concluded between Friedrich Egon Landgraf zu Fuerstenberg and Carl Stoelzle. This date is therefore to be regarded as the birthday of the Stoelzle company. Cf.
