Other Notes: Ford's Model A was the successor of the Model T. Those are some pretty big shoes to fill, or tires in this case.
The Model A was in production between 1927 and 1931. Ford produced just under 5 million globally during that time. I would call that a successful successor.
Much like the preceding Model T, buyers of the new Model A could choose coupes, convertibles, sedans, or pickup trucks. Here being offered is a 1930 Coup Deluxe.

This Model A is equipped with a few added options that make up the Deluxe Package. There's the obvious fully polished steel grill, dual spare tires that are side mounted, and partially recessed into the front fenders with polished steel covers. High mounted fog lamps at the base of the windshield, and the travel trunk that has been mounted to the rear cargo rack. This gives you much needed room as this instance is equipped with the rear rumble seat. ( Classically referred to as the Mother-in-law seat, but who would want to stick their Mother in-law out in the elements?)

Getting into some of the more mechanical details. There's a steel ladder-frame chassis that supports the body, and gives residence to an inline 4 cylinder motor, 3 speed gear box, manual steering system, 4 wheel drum brakes, and leaf spring suspension.

Condition: Vehicle Condition Report: this is a good example of an older restoration focused on the ability to be driven, and enjoyed.

Exterior:Polished grille , bumpers, light buckets, handles, and trim are in fair condition. The overall condition of the painted surface is in fair condition. The painter did not take care to tape off a few places, allowing overspray. Theseareas are the grille at the hood edge, lower windshield at the cowl, side door andquarter glass in the corners. Glass is all intact. There are notable areas of damage paint, or paint over rusted surfaces. These areasare the front fenders covering the frame, front fender supports, rear fendersupports, and rear fender leading edge. Red painted wheels have several chips in the paint. Front fenders have scuffs, and previous touch up's, few existing chips, and paintedover rusted surfaces. Sealer is visible around the soft top edge trim.Rear fenders have scuffing, chips, and damage to the right rear fender support. Rumble Seat/Trunk has paint chips along the opening edge. Cargo trunk carrier is welded to the bumper supports, and the trunk has been boltedto the carrier. The underside of the vehicle is coated in black paint. There are a few areas of lightrust visible, but do not appear to be serious.

Interior: Engine compartment, and interior compartment paint need a proper cleaning. Thereare chips in the door window edge panels as expected with use. Floor matt, doorpanels, seat upholstery are in good condition. Headliner fabric shows signs of age,has stains, and damage to the edge along the drivers side B pillar. Rumble seatupholstery is in good condition with the exception of a damaged spot from contactwith the lock mechanism.

Mechanical: A new 6v battery was installed, engine oil was changed, and fuel system was flushedat the time of inspection. The engine, gear box, brakes, suspension, and steering areall operational. This car runs, and drives. Engine, and gearbox show signs of seepage, but no dripping leaks. Tires hold air, and have sufficient tread, but are starting to show signs of aging. Lights, and gauges are operational, but show signs of age as expected. Hood, rumble seat, doors and windows operate properly.

Report Information:The purpose of this report is to give potential buyers an informed look at the vehicle condition. This is not to be used to determine road worthiness. The specific areas described in this report are in addition to additional pictures covering these areas in detail.

Notice to Potential Buyer:We suggest that the buyer have this vehicle inspected & serviced by a professional before it is driven on the road, and that it be transported after purchasing.
