Ford - Model A Tudor - 1931
FORD MODEL A TUDOR Year of manufacture: 1931 The Ford was purchased in 2016. The car was in Wijnjewoude and was imported from Canada. It still had Canadian license plate CAX5461. The Ford was in reasonable condition. You could see an older restoration on the outside. The inside was completely worn and everything had to be renewed. In order to get a Dutch registration, the car had to be inspected by the RDW (Dutch vehicle authority) . One problem was that the car did not have a chassis number. This car was manufactured in Canada and they were not given a chassis number. The RDW then punched their own number. The chassis number and engine number are CA108450. Newly upholstered on the inside. Many parts were purchased from Adams Classic Cars and from Histo. Parts. Invoices are available. However, due to my age and health, I am unable to finish the car. The vinyl roof needs to be replaced and the brakes need adjusting. It does already have new brake drums, etc. The engine starts well and runs like a charm. The seats were raised with a bench with mounted seat adjustment. The old, original setup is easy to reinstate. There are some small cracks in the paint (older restoration) . The car is good and neat but needs some attention. The car can be viewed in Hengelo, the Netherlands.
