1965 Ford Mustang coupe.

The timeless “pony car” celebrates its 60th anniversary this year in 2024.
Originally sold in the USA, California, this Mustang was imported to France in 2016.

Light, agile and fast for its time, the Ford Mustang created a whole new genre of automobile, known as Pony Cars, sports cars with attractive lines and good performance based on mass-produced mechanics.
From 1965, the six-cylinder engine was improved, offering more power and torque.

This Mustang is equipped with a six-cylinder engine, power steering and a 3-speed automatic transmission, a vinyl roof (optional at the time) , a special V8 exhaust.
This example was restored with great care and mechanically revised from 2016 to 2020.

Among the work carried out:
- replacement of the entire exhaust with its special mustang
- replacement of white wall tires
- replacement of front wheel bearings.
- interior and exterior, removal of lower BVA crankcase and body valves for cleaning and checking,
- replacement pressure valve, gasket, strainer, auto gearbox filter, Dexron gearbox oil and power steering.
- revision of steering rack sealing.
- steering relay.
- steering cylinder bellows and silentblock repair kit,
- change of engine and gearbox gasket,
- rocker cover gasket.
- heating box,
- ventilation joints and windows,
- defrost nozzles,
- dashboard electrical voltage regulator.
- change of all brake hoses and drums,
- complete front stabilizer bar links,
- central stabilizer bar silent blocks,
- engine support, trunk seal and rear quarter windows.
- replacement of rear shock absorbers and front suspensions,
- upper suspension ball joints.
- oil change, 'Scott' air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, gearbox filter.
- rocker strips, pair of chrome rear fender moldings, front bumper trims.
- new Ford Caspian metallic blue paint.
- engine and mechanics restored with all consumables changed as well as several parts with supporting invoices.

Engine and bodywork appraised and recognized in excellent condition in 2019. Bodywork with new paint in 2019, and to this day still intact (no dents or scratches) .

This car has been in California for 51 years, always sheltered and enjoying a dry and mild climate all year round, and is free from traces of rust, has always benefited from excellent body conservation.

Since it arrived in France, it has always been dry and protected in the garage.

Certificate from the French Federation of Vintage Vehicles for obtaining the “collector’s vehicle” registration document.
Up-to-date detailed administrative status certificate.

Collection registration document dated January 30, 2017.
This car features a beautifully restored interior, including the special "Interior Decor Group" trim, also known as "Pony Interior", with seats decorated in the theme of Mustang's galloping horses.
