Fort Henry German POW 1915 Picture Frame

Kingston, Ontario. 1915. Poplar or Basswood. WWI prisoner of war folk art carved rectangular picture frames with two rectangular openings for pictures or photos. With geometric chip-carved circles, quarter fans to lower corners and two eagles. Original stain/varnish finish with alligatored surface. Carved, "1915 Fort Henry Canada", on front. 11.25" x 20.25" x 1.25". From the Darryl Silver Collection.
Condition Report: Good condition. Slightly forward bow due to warping.
