Fossil Shrimp Carpopenaeus sp. Cretaceous Lebanon 3.55 x 3.02 x 0.24 inches (9.01 x 7.66 x 0.60 cm) This easily recognizable fossil is, obviously, a shrimp, and the ancient sea creature is a light brown color on a sedimentary block with a lighter-hued tan matrix. The preserved crustacean is relatively large and features long and curving antennae protruding from its curled body.
