Fossil Starfish "Brittle Star" Pentasteria lonispina Ordovician Ktaoua Formation Mecissi, Sahara Desert, Morocco 5.35 x 3.91 x 0.85 inches (13.59 x 9.92 x 2.15 cm) Leaping across a dark grey matrix, these two burnt orange starfish stand out wonderfully against the nondescript slab on which they reside. These small Pentasteria examples are fluid and dynamic with round cores and sectioned 'whip-like' arms that have been expertly prepared.
