Four Hand-Carved African Style Figures
This collection features four hand-carved wooden figures, including a large Akua'ba fertility doll and three figurative sculptures. The set includes a light wood female figure carrying a vessel, a darker female figure with a headload, and a male figure posed in activity. These pieces showcase various carving styles and finishes common to West African folk art and souvenir craft.
Condition
Good overall condition with minor scuffs, surface wear, and natural age-related cracks to the wood. The hanging cord on the Akua'ba doll is frayed but intact. Base of one figure is hand-marked 'INDONESIA' likely from a former owner's cataloging.
